Yeah. The question should probably be "suppose you DID have to buy something fun with it, what would you buy". If you gave me £10 to spend in a fun way, I could, but if you just gave me £10, it'd go straight into my wallet, because my impulse purchases are not limited by having £10, but by how often it occurs to me.
